The Orioles capitalized on three walks in the sixth inning and two more in the seventh to score an 8-2 victory over the Angels. Ken Brett, who was pitching a one-hitter for the Angels, passed Mark Belanger and Dave Skaggs in the sixth and gave up a run on a single by Al Bumbry. Dave LaRoche relieved.

After Rich Dauer forced Skaggs, Ken Singleton walked to load the bases. Andres Mora grounded out, scoring Bumbry, and Eddie Murray followed with a single to drive in Dauer and Singleton. Bumbry batted in two runs with a single in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
