Ken Singleton smashed a two-run homer, plus three singles, in a perfect day at bat to lead the Orioles to a 6-2 victory over the Twins. After the Orioles scored a run in the second inning on a double by Terry Crowley and single by Andres Mora, Dave Skaggs singled in the sixth and Singleton followed with his homer to provide the deciding blow. Ross Grimsley pitched seven innings and allowed only four hits, including a homer by Craig Kusick, before Dennis Martinez took over to finish the game for the Orioles. [The Sporting News]
