Breaking a 3-3 tie, the Astros erupted for eight runs in the seventh inning and defeated the Cubs, 11-3. Rick Reuschel started for the Cubs but departed after two innings because of a muscle spasm in his back and his brother, Paul, was the loser in relief. The Astros' outburst included a three-run double by Enos Cabell and two-run double by Bob Watson. [The Sporting News]
