Tom Johnson gained his 10th victory as a reliever for the Twins when Lyman Bostock homered in the eighth inning to beat the Angels, 4-3. The Twins also had a homer by Butch Wynegar and another run on a triple by Roy Smalley and sacrifice fly by Rich Chiles in the seventh to take a 3-2 lead, but after the Angels tied the score in the top half of the eighth, Bostock promptly broke the deadlock with his boundary belt.
