Ron LeFlore celebrated his 27th birthday by hitting two homers to help Mark Fidrych post his third straight victory as the Tigers defeated the Blue Jays, 4-1. LeFlore banged his first homer of the game in the third inning. After the Blue Jays counted in the fifth on a double by Al Woods and single by Dave McKay, LeFlore homered again in the Tigers' half. Steve Kemp then supplied two insurance runs with a circuit clout in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
