The Red Sox had consecutive homers for the seventh time this season when George Scott and Bernie Carbo hit for the circuit in the fourth inning of a 7-1 victory over the White Sox. Scott homered again in the eighth with two men on base. Ralph Garr led off the game with a round-tripper for the White Sox, but winner Rick Wise yielded only three other hits before Bill Campbell relieved and pitched hitless ball in the last two stanzas.
