. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Although collecting 17 hits, the Tigers were not able to beat the Twins until Ron LeFlore scored an unearned run in the 10th inning to account for a 6-5 victory. The Tigers, in fact, were losing, 5-4, until Mickey Stanley batted for Phil Mankowski in the eighth and came through with a homer to tie the score. LeFlore singled in the 10th, stole second and crossed the plate when Rob Wilfong booted a grounder by Rusty Staub. [The Sporting News]
