Mike Torrez posted his third straight victory with a six-hitter as the Athletics ended their three-game losing streak by defeating the Brewers, 4-2. Rich McKinney drove in two of the A's runs to help turn back the Brewers, who were stopped on a five-game winning streak. Two walks, an error and single by McKinney produced the A's initial pair in the first inning. After the Brewers pulled even, McKinney broke the tie with a homer in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
