Gene Tenace, Doug Rader and George Hendrick combined their talent to power the Padres to a 12-6 triumph over the Braves. Tenace drove in five runs with two homers, including a grand-slam blow in the fifth inning. Rader hit a three-run homer in the fourth and Hendrick added a solo blow in the seventh.
