Nolan Ryan pitched the fifth one-hitter of his career and shut out the Mariners for the second time this season as the Angels delighted their record home-opening crowd of 34,654 by posting a 7-0 victory. Bob Stinson singled in the fifth inning for the only hit off the Angels' fireballer, who struck out eight and walked six.
