. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Thurman Munson and Chris Chambliss, the Yankees' leaders in run production, each hit a homer in a 4-2 victory over the Brewers. Munson's solo shot for his 93rd RBI tied the score at 2-2 in the third inning. The Yankees went ahead in the fifth when Fred Stanley singled, stole second, took third on a wild pitch and crossed the plate on a single by Roy White. Chambliss capped the scoring with a homer in the sixth for his 90th RBI. [The Sporting News]
