Ed Kranepool's 100th career homer, coming with a man on base in the eighth inning, lifted the Mets to a 9-8 victory over the Expos. A pair of three-run outbursts in the seventh and eighth gave the Expos an 8-7 lead before Kranepool turned the tide with his circuit clout. [The Sporting News]
