A loser of eight previous decisions, reliever Dale Murray gained credit for his first victory of the season when the Expos pushed the tie-breaking run across the plate in the seventh inning to defeat the Braves, 4-3. With one out, Del Unser, newly acquired from the Mets, walked and Mike Jorgensen singed. Mike Marshall came to the mound and passed Andre Thornton to load the bases.
