Mike Cubbage hit his first homer of the year and it was a big one, coming with the bases loaded in the eighth inning to climax a five-run outburst that clinched the Twins' 8-2 victory over the Brewers. The homer was the fifth of Cubbage's major league career and slam was his second. In the eighth, an error led to one of the Twins' runs before they filled the bases and Cubbage whacked his homer off reliever Bill Castro. [The Sporting News]
