The Brewers broke a 4-4 tie with two runs in the sixth inning to deal the Indians their fourth straight setback, 6-5. With two out in the sixth, Bill Sharp rapped his fourth single and Don Money lashed his third hit of the game. Darrell Porter and Hank Aaron followed with RBI singles.

Tom Murphy ended the game with a strikeout of Buddy Bell after the Indians scored on singles by George Hendrick, Charlie Spikes and Frank Robinson and then loaded the bases on Mike Hegan's error. The setback was the 10th in 13 games for the Indians, who bounced into four double plays. [The Sporting News]
