Making their debut under new manager Alex Grammas, the Brewers jumped on Catfish Hunter for five runs in the first two innings and shut out the Yankees, 5-0, behind the four-hit hurling of Jim Slaton. Hank Aaron was the Brewers' big gun, driving in three runs with two singles, one of them coming with the bases loaded in the first.
