After breaking a tie when Pedro Garcia doubled and Robin Yount singled in the eighth inning, the Brewers went on to score five more runs, all unearned on three errors, to defeat the Orioles, 7-1. Bill Champion limited the Orioles to five hits. The Brewers had only three hits in their big inning. Following Garcia's double and Yount's single, successive errors by Don Baylor and Lee May, a walk, infield out, another error by Mark Belanger and single by Darrell Porter climaxed the Brewers' scoring.
