A pinch-double by Jack Brohamer with the bases loaded and two out in the fourth inning sparked the Indians to an 8-3 victory over the Brewers. The Indians were trailing, 3-1, before filling the sacks on two singles and a walk. Brohamer then batted for Luis Alvarado and cleared the bases with his double.

The Brewers' three runs off Jim Perry in the second were unearned. The Indians also were beneficiaries of three unearned runs in the eighth to clinch their victory. [The Sporting News]
