Making up for two errors, Marty Perez knocked in a run with a single in the seventh inning to give the Braves a 4-3 victory over the Giants. The Braves scored a run on a single by Ivan Murrell in the first inning before the Giants came back with their tallies in the second on singles by Steve Ontiveros, Mike Phillips and Ron Bryant, a sacrifice fly by Gary Thomasson and Perez' two errors.

The Braves tied the score in the sixth when Murrell singled after a pass to Perez and hits by Davey Johnson and Dusty Baker had loaded the bases. Craig Robinson singled in the seventh and Darrell Evans walked before Perez came through. [The Sporting News]
