The Mets scored four runs in the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie and Ray Sadecki turned in a route-going effort for his fourth straight victory as New York defeated the Expos, 7-1. Dave Schneck snapped the tie with a two-run, bases-loaded single. With two out, Sadecki singled home Schneck and Bud Harrelson followed with another RBI single. The Mets added a pair in the fifth on Don Hahn's bases-loaded sacrifice fly and a single by Duffy Dyer. [The Sporting News]
