A homer by Toby Harrah with two men on base ignited a five-run explosion in the fourth inning that propelled the Rangers to a 6-2 victory over the Orioles. Harrah's homer followed a single by Mike Hargrove and pass to Lenny Randle. With two out, the Rangers went on to add two more runs on a double by Jim Sundberg and singles by Dave Nelson, Cesar Tovar and Jeff Burroughs. Fergie Jenkins, pitching for the Rangers, allowed only three hits until the seventh when the Orioles counted on singles by Bobby Grich and Don Baylor and double by Brooks Robinson.
