After giving up seven hits in the first three innings, Steve Busby yielded only three more the rest of the way and pitched the Royals to a 7-2 victory over the Tigers. Busby yielded the Tigers' pair in the first on singles by Mickey Stanley, Gary Sutherland, Jim Northrup and Bill Freehan.
