Sparked by Jim Fregosi, who hit a homer, the Rangers scored three runs in the seventh inning to gain a 5-2 victory over the Brewers, who went down to their sixth straight defeat. George Scott singled and Darrell Porter homered to give the Brewers a 2-1 lead in the top half of the seventh. After Fregosi led off the Rangers' half with his homer to tie the score, Lenny Randle singled and advanced to second on a poor throw back to the infield by Johnny Briggs. Jim Sundberg bunted and Randle beat Clyde Wright's throw to third. Cesar Tovar singled to score Randle and Alex Johnson followed with a single to drive in Sundberg. [The Sporting News]
