A crowd of 12,116 turned out in spite of 40-degree temperatures and winds of up to 35 miles an hour to watch the Expos defeat the Giants, 4-2, to snap a six-game losing streak. The Expos scored all their runs in the third inning. After walks to Jim Cox and Steve Rogers around a single by Barry Foote loaded the bases, John D'Acquisto also passed Ron Hunt to force in the first run. Another scored on an infield out by Tim Foli before Willie Davis decided the game with a two-run single.
