In the second inning, Mike Anderson singled, took third on Montanez' single and scored on a wild pitch by Doug Rau. Montanez homered in the fourth. The Dodgers picked up their run in the eighth. Bill Russell doubled and stopped at third on a single by Ken McMullen. A torn fingernail on his pitching hand forced Ron Schueler to leave the mound and, after Mac Scarce relieved, Manny Mota drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. [The Sporting News]
