Three more runs followed in the third when Doug Griffin singled, Carbo was hit by a pitch, Carl Yastrzemski doubled, Dwight Evans beat out an infield single and Bob Didier lofted a sacrifice fly. Cleveland hurled only six innings before yielding to Dick Drago. The Indians scored their runs on homers by Charlie Spikes, Buddy Bell and George Hendrick. [The Sporting News]
