The Orioles extended their winning streak to 11 games behind the pitching of Dave McNally, who shut out the Royals, 6-0. Bobby Grich had a perfect night at the plate with four singles and drove in three runs. Al Bumbry and Rich Coggins rapped three hits apiece, Coggins' collection including a homer and double.
