Pinch-hitter Joe Lahoud hit a grand-slam homer for the Brewers in the ninth inning, but the Angels tied the score in their half and won in the 10th, 5-4, on a homer by Leroy Stanton. Frank Robinson homered in the first inning and Mike Epstein in the second for the Angels, who added their third run when Ken Berry doubled and Jeff Torborg singled in the seventh.

The Brewers, held to two hits by Bill Singer going into the ninth, loaded the bases on a walk to Don Money, single by George Scott and pass to Johnny Briggs before Lahoud hit his grand slam off Aurelio Monteagudo, who was the Angels' third pitcher of the inning. The Angels came back with the tying run on a pinch-single by Richie Scheinblum and double by Robinson. [The Sporting News]
