The Expos' seven-game winning streak came to an end with a 6-3 loss to the Dodgers in a game shortened to six innings by rain. The Dodgers, after taking a 2-1 lead, erupted for four runs in the third. Willie Davis singled, stole second and scored on a single by Joe Ferguson. Willie Crawford then walked and Ron Cey smashed a three-run homer for the winning blow. The Expos were unable to catch up, although Hal Breeden hit for the circuit with a man on base in the home half of the third. [The Sporting News]
