The Brewers built up a big lead at the expense of Jim Kaat and posted their ninth victory in the last 10 starts, defeating the Twins, 10-6. After starting with a run in the second inning, the Brewers added two on an inside-the-park homer by Dave May in the third before breaking the game open with five runs in the fourth on six hits, including a two-run single by Ollie Brown.
