Willie McCovey and Chris Speier collected seven hits between them to lead the Giants' support of Juan Marichal, who defeated the Dodgers, 7-3. McCovey drove in three runs with a single, double and homer. Speier rapped four singles and was on base when McCovey hit his homer in the eighth inning.
