A grand slam by Jim Hickman, plus other homers by Jose Cardenal and Billy Williams, powered the Cubs to a 9-3 victory over the Mets. Hickman's slam came off Gary Gentry in the third inning and followed a walk to Don Kessinger, double by Cardenal and intentional pass to Williams. [The Sporting News]
