. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Homers by Bob Oliver, Leroy Stanton and Billy Parker produced all of the Angels' runs in a 5-1 victory over the White Sox. When Oliver connected with a man on base in the opening frame, the homer was the first given up by Wilbur Wood in 57 innings. Stanton's blow accounted for two more runs in the fourth. Parker hit the first homer of his major league career to account for the Angels' final tally in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
