Singles by Bob Heise, Joe Lahoud and Billy Conigliaro in the eighth inning provided the Brewers with their deciding run in a 4-3 victory over the Royals. The inning before that, the Brewers loaded the bases and when Cookie Rojas threw wildly in an attempted double play after grabbing a line drive by Ellie Rodriguez, two runs scored.
