A four-run rally in the ninth inning carried the Phillies to a 6-4 victory over the Expos. The Phillies started their uprising by loading the bases on passes to Larry Bowa and Willie Montanez around a single by Mike Anderson.

Deron Johnson drew a walk from Ernie McAnally to force in the first run. Greg Luzinski followed with a single, driving in two runs to put the Phillies ahead, 5-4. The extra marker counted on a throwing error by Bob Bailey. [The Sporting News]
