Bobby Valentine collected four straight hits, including his first major league homer, and drove in four runs to lead the Dodgers to a 7-1 victory over the Expos. Valentine hit his homer with two men on base in the second inning.

Maury Wills batted in two runs with a triple in the fifth and counted himself on a single by Willie Crawford. A single by Valentine wrapped up the Dodgers' scoring in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
