Don Buford singled in the 10th inning and, with two out, scored from first base on a double by Frank Robinson to bring the Orioles a 2-1 victory over the Twins. Robinson scored the Orioles' initial run in the second inning, reaching base on an error and counting on a sacrifice and double by Andy Etchebarren. Leo Cardenas homered for the Twins in the sixth.
