. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Although scoring seven runs in the second inning, the Braves needed another tally on a wild pitch in the sixth to stagger past the Phillies, 8-7. The Braves sent 13 men to bat in their big inning and collected eight hits, including a pair of run-scoring singles by Earl Williams. Two walks and a sacrifice fly also figured in the stanza. The Braves' deciding run in the sixth counted on a single by Ralph Garr, a stolen base, an infield out and a wild pitch by Ken Reynolds. [The Sporting News]
