Norman Fell stars as a manufacturer who, in addition to running his business, is training a young, bright but naive dress designer, played by Deirdre Lenihan. Louis Nye is his inept brother-in-law; Sandra Deel is his bookkeeper Girl Friday. In the first episode, young Wendy arrives from Omaha to seek advice from old family friend Norman and gets swept up in the business.
